Dr
Yuberkis Rodríguez Clarke

Dentist

Dr Rodríguez-Clarke is highly qualified and dedicated to her patient care. Her main goal is to improve oral health and thereby restore peoples’ smiles and confidence. She has extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry practices as well as aesthetic dentistry practices. Dr Rodriguez-Clarke spent 2 years in the dental and surgical clinic in the public hospital service of Montego Bay, Jamaica. She graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate degree in Dentistry from University Iberoamerican (UNIBE) in Dominican Republic in 2003.

Dr Rodriguez-Clarke strongly believes that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of the cure. She knows that effective use of the technology owned and available in the Island Dental Centre office can help improve the accuracy of diagnoses, and she utilizes technology as much as her own extensive knowledge to assist in patient care. Her mastery of dentistry and this dental technology allows her to provide more precise treatment plans for her patients. She strongly emphasizes the importance of educating patients about oral health. While her top priority is to make sure her patients receive the quality care they need, she also strives to make sure the results are aesthetically pleasing. Her ultimate goal is to help her patients to spend less time in the office chair and more time smiling in the beautiful Bahamian sunshine!

Dr
Symone Sawyer

Dentist

Dr. Symone as she is known in the office, is the newest addition to Island Dental Centre. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica after completing her Undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester, UK. Dr. Symone found a home at Island Dental Centre after returning to Nassau at the end of 2016.

Dr. Symone’s patient focused approach and calming demeanor along with her training in University means that she helps patients to make smart and sound treatment decisions. During her training, she actively participated in numerous outreaches and clinics in communities that did not have access to dental care. Along with treatment, the members of these communities were taught the importance of oral care and prevention and that great oral health is the beginning of optimum overall health; a principle that she still actively encourages.

Dr. Symone enthusiastically continues her dental education through certified continuing education courses abroad; honing her skill in preventative dentistry, root canal treatments, restorative procedures and crown and bridge work. These courses allow her to fulfill one of her interests, which is travelling. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and giving back to the community.

Dr. Symone looks forward to meeting you and providing you and your family, from the young to the young at heart, the best dental care in a friendly environment.
